Dr. Pederson earned his undergraduate degree from Iowa State University with a BS in Exercise and Sports Science. He attended medical school at Des Moines University, where Dr. Pederson also was selected to a one year pre-doctoral fellowship in osteopathic manipulative medicine. After graduation, Dr. Pederson's training took him to Michigan State University where he completed his residency. He returned to Iowa in 2009 to revive the outpatient Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation program at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, IA until 2019. Dr. Pederson received additional training in independent medical evaluations and is certified by the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners. Dr. Pederson was providing physical medicine services to skilled nursing facilities throughout the Des Moines Metro for 2 years prior to joining Capital Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in November 2021, with Capital Orthopedics absorbing the current Mid-Iowa IME, LLC.
